Selling a Spanish Plate Car Privately - Paperwork??

Morning all,

Can someone give me some advice on selling my Spanish car.

When we purchased it privately - we just signed a 'Contracte de Compravenda de vehicles usats' and then when we got the log book (still in the previous owners name), I just took to One Way Services and they changed the log book for me.

Now I want to sell the same car and I have a private buyer lined up. Do I just need to get both parties to sign the 'Contracte de Compravenda de vehicles usats' form and then hand over the log book to her so she can get it changed into her name??

Being Spain, I'm sure its more complicated than this.. : )

All info gratefully received.

Thanks

Nikki

We are doing the same thing and are using Leigh from Spanish-number-plates.com
He advised that we need the following paperwork-
BUYER:
Copy NIE
Copy passport
Padron / escritura / IBI bill / rental agreement
SELLER:
Copy passport
Copy NIE certificate
2 x car docs

You could give the buyer Leigh’s details and he will give them a quote to change ownership.

Good luck
