I have have had several quotes for car insurance and they all want full payment and no monthly direct debit!

Is this the norm living in Spain. I need the insurance for my new car so will have to buy but are there any companies that will do direct monthly debit?

Any help appreciated.

It would be difficult to get hold of a post from 5 years ago. Just pointing out the question comes up a lot on expat sites and, no, I've not yet seen a reply that says a car insurance company here will do monthly payments.

Some will split it in 2 or 3 payments but not seen any company that does monthly. It would be interesting if someone comes up with something, though.

But you will have to pay extra for an already expensive policy from them ..!!

Never had a good or competitive quote from them yet ….!!!

Hi
I have the insurance at last and i used Caser and they were excellent.
the whole process took around 25 minutes on the phone.
The young lady Sara was wonderful and put me shame with her linguistic skills.
After putting the phone down i received an email within 5 minutes containing the policy and the original will follow via snail mail.

As for the cost it was by far the best I had been quoted for a new car. 270 euros pa fully comp. 200 Euro excess, Courtesy car and breakdown cover included.
I dont work for this company but I would tell anyone to give them a try..
BTW there was no monthly payments as the annual cost of the policy was so low. I believe the annual cost has to be in excess of 500 euro and then you can pay quarterly/half yearly.

Thanks to jpeg for telling me about Caser....

I would,nt use Caser in my experience , been waiting over 14months for them to settle a claim with my insurance Liberty,it was there clients fault,he signed a statement, witnesses ,Police Photos etc showing so ,in the end Liberty taking there client to court for settlement,
