ITV TEST EARLIER THAN DUE DATE

Hi

Does anyone know if you can put your car in earlier than due date for ITV and does it work like the UK system?

For example in UK if your car was due for MOT on 15 April and you had it tested early within 30 days, you still get 15 April on your Certificate. Does the same apply for the ITV?

I have spent some time online trying to find the answer but so far unsuccessfully.

Thank you for your help.

Jackie

Yes, 1 month before the due date and the effective date will be the same as the previous due date.

Hi Marcliff

Thank you very much for your reply - really appreciate it. So exactly the same as UK.

Marcliff is absolutely correct! I’ve just done this a couple of weeks ago. You can take the test anytime in the month before the actual due test date. The extra days will be added to the expiry date of your new test certificate.
