My Spanish driving licence needs renewing in January. Can someone remind me what documents I need to take with me and cost please. Also, does anyone know if the private clinic behind the La Siesta waterpark is still providing this service. Thanks.

La Siesta clinic is open and you just need your old driving licence and residency card.
Cost is 40 euro for the medical but, if you are under 70 (even by a few days) they charge another 40 euro for the paperwork and government fee.

What happens if you should have renewed it a couple of months ago?. Is there any leeway?

i renewed my driving licence at la siesta clinic in March but wasn’t 70 until May. I was only charged a total of 40€ and I didnt lose any of the validity.
Be careful though as I recommended the clinic to a friend who’d had a stent fitted 12 years ago and the doctor there insisted he go straight to the Quiron and get a fitness report at a cost of around 200€. The fact that he’d renewed his licence twice before with no such requirement was unacceptable nor was a report from his own doctor
