El Fondo N.P.

We discovered a smashing place for half a day out on Monday called Parque Natural El Fondo. It's only about 1/2 hour from Quesada just outside San Felipe Neri. I discovered it while looking at Google maps for places to go to, I havent seen it advertised on here or anywhere else.
It has a very informative visitor centre and different walking routes of varying lengths along boardwalks across the water. We saw flamingos, coots, various ducks, stilts and lots of other birds and saw several families there with small children, it's an ideal place to take them. There's a sheltered area with picnic benches to take your own picnic although it would have been perfect to have had a small cafe there, and a small botanic garden. I can thoroughly recommend it if you havent been there yet.
Sorry I dont know why the second photo is upside down
