I know this has been a topic on here before, but have found some other fascinating places folk may like to try.
1st is the Elche dam at coordinates 38.304514, -0.721052 (or 38° 18' 25.60" N 0° 43' 16.80" W)
Built in the 17th century, it is the oldest still in use and the water cascades over the brim with about 75ft fall.
Quite spectacular, but you will need GPS or satnav to find!
Here are some photos I took of it.

Hi Martin, looks interesting.
Google maps shows a track leading up to the base of the waterfall. Can you drive up there, or is it a case of leaving the car at the road and walking?
If you have to walk, is it suitable for someone who's not great on uneven terrain?

Pete.

Pete.
You have a 5 minute walk from the closest you can park the car.
It's not too bad - I attach a photo of part of the track (excuse Claire in bikini!)

This walking group meets at the arches in Quesada on Sunday mornings. On Sunday 17th they are doing a walk that takes in this reservoir and also the site of the rock paintings at El Cou. See Link below.

Registering in here as would be useful to acquire a list of some other places to explore. I heard of a nice vineyard in the mountains somewhere that has an adjoining hotel so you can spend an evening wine tasting. Need to find that..
