We have a thriving petanca club in Daya Vieja. We meet on Tuesdays at 1.45 to commence play at 2 pm. Due to the Summer heat in June we will be meeting later and playing from 5 till 7 pm. We enter teams in the Summer and Winter leagues but Tuesday is a fun day where you can learn and practise. See our website by googling Daya Vieja petanca club

There is a group that play near the Consum roundabout on a Saturday morning and there is another large group that play on a Monday afternoon.....I don't know the address but if you go up the road by the Budapest restaurant to where the tree is in the middle of the road, they play on the left hand side. I think it is 2:00pm

Hi Gordon we popped up to up to see the Petanca near consum this morning but no one was playing, so we popped into the bar opposite and they told us they play there on a Wednesday morning but they were not sure what time. Do you know anyone who we can contact.

Hi Len, I dont know whether this will help . I live at the Rojales end of the golf course and along near the end not far from Arturas.s bricalage.if you look up there is a windmill.if you get to the windmill u can drive up and start to walk down the bank about 100 yards or so there is a left turning which about 75 yards along on the right is a Petanca club plus a cafe its among the local football pitches which we were looking for.only thing is sitting having a coffee and listening to the lingo of the players i would say, maybe, dutch, belguim or the like may be wrong.

Today I was very disappointed. I went to the Petanca pitch near Consum and there was a group of Germans playing. We tried to introduce ourselves but we were just ignored, I thought we were all Expats together but it doesn't seem that way. Very disappointing.

Hi Len, there is a friendly Petance club that plays next to Villa Salada (on way to Torrevieja) called Pirates Petanca Club - my wife & I went once mostly British, very friendly & welcoming. Sure if you google them you will find them or there is the U3A.
Hope this helps

Hello Len,
Glad to hear you are going to try Daya Vieja Petanca Club. Aim to arrive about 13.45.
If you leave Quesada through the Arches and turn right at the big roundabout head towards Benijofar, when you reach the cobbles turn right, follow the road towards San Fulgencio going underneath the Guardamar road. Keep going straight then Daya Vieja is signposted to the left off the next roundabout. Go straight through the village till you come to the next roundabout where you will see a football ground with the petanca pitches next to it. I shall not be there next Tuesday but my friend Shiraz will watch out for you and you will be made very welcome. Good luck and hope you enjoy the afternoon. Regards Diane.
