He closes on Wednesday but we will be very interested if this gets off the ground as we do quite a lot of walking.

Hi Mick, I joined up with La Marina Walking Group last year and they are a great bunch of people. 3 different walks on Wednesday, Friday and Sunday at different levels from strolling to rock climbing ! Some locally or near Quesada, others a bit further afield. They have a website but don't start back until October.

Costa Blanca Walkers meet at the arches in Ciudad Quesada every Sunday, they are closed at the moment but will begin again in September.
The walks vary in length and difficulty but are advertised in advance so that you can decide whether to go or not. There are usually people who car share to get to the start of the walks so if you do not have transport this is not normally a problem.
If you drop them an email, [email protected], they will put you on the mailing list.

I organise the group that sets off from the Arches on a Sunday. We Don't always start from there but do most Sundays during our walking season. The group is called Southern Costa Blanca Walking group and can be found by searching Facebook. A goggle search will find our website. They both give info on how to contact us for further information.
