Hi I am new to the group. My mum lives on lo Crispin and we visit very regularly. My son is coming with me in April, he's 16 and very keen to go fishing (not seafishing) just carp, is that possible and do we need to get him a permit?. Some websites say he needs to pass a Spanish exam to obtain a license!?? Thanks

No exam needed. Valencian license is required which can be obtained from a shop in Palacios Mar ( near Formentera/ Rojales ). Fishing in the river at Rojales or Benijofar is OK if you can find somewhere clear to fish ( not in town where it has concrete sides ). Carp is all you will catch and there's plenty of them. Wild Carp are the main species and when caught they go like a bat out of hell.

The Carp-r-Us web site provides the most information, including how to obtain licences and venues within reasonable driving distance. http://carp-r-us.weebly.com/ Whilst we also have the Facebook site previously mentioned, there is also 'Places to fish in costa blanca south' on Facebook which all 3 local clubs and many pleasure anglers use.
