Phew! What a Scorcher
Phew! What a Scorcher

Well, it's here. Like going out into an oven today. Temp guage on my balcony pushing 40C and so is the temp guage in the car. Guess it's around 35C in reality. A little bit of a wind but it's a very warm one. Just walking in town for 15 minutes or so this morning was draining. Out in the garden it really is like stepping into an oven with really hot air surrounding you.
Luckily the house is still quite cool but if this keeps up then the aircon will be going into overdrive a bit sooner than usual.
However, that's what we are here for. Some of the plants looking a bit sad as well but the water dries up as soon as you put it on. Feel a bit sorry for all the pets in their fur coats.

I'm not in Spain yet but this morning it said that there was a weather warning for the area today and it was expected to almost reach 90°F . That is very hot for early June!

Yes, it was a tad on the warm side yesterday I had to drink extra beer in an effort to keep cool...

September is here. Traditionally when the weather cools down. So just what is happening? Temp guage on the balcony and in the car showing 40C. Opened the front and back doors to get a cool breeze coming through but it is a warm rush of air. Clothes on the line are bone dry after just over an hour. Standing outside to put the toldo out and I can feel the heat coming up from the patio through my shoes (well, sandals).
I'm not complaining, you understand, but it will be impossible to do anything outside today except sit in the shade and sip something cool. The bushes and plants can wait for their trim a while longer.

It's cooled down here too quickly in Southern England. Could do with the heating on at moment but we have been promised a day or two of Indian Summer later this week in the UK.
