Builders/Timber Mrchants

Builders/Timber Mrchants

Postby Reider » Wed Jul 25, 2018 10:38 am

Hi All

Finally bought a property, and will need to do some upgrading/maintenance. And having run my own joinery business back in the UK realise that B and Q type stores are rip off merchants.
So my question is, are there any Builders/Timber/Ironmongery merchants thet will either sell to the public or allow a householder o open an account.

I am referring to Jewson, Travis Perkins type business.

Thank you for reading and hopefully some replies

There are several good ones around. Preyser in Quesada as mentioned. Terrapilar on Cortes Valencianas in Torrevieja by the needle roundabout has a good selection of stuff.
One that is very good and nearby is BigMat at San Fulgencio. It is actually on the way to Daya Nueva and not in San Fulgencio. If you go past Rojales towards Elche you come to a roundabout that says San Fulgencio to the right. Ignore that one as it's and industrial estate. Go the next roundabout with San Fulgencio signed to the right but take the left hand turn from the roundabout. It's about 1.5 km up on the right hand side.
They have all sorts of bricks, tiles, wood and so on plus a big tool shop as well.
Only open Spanish hours so don't go between 2 and 4 in the afternoon.

There's also a timber merchant that advertises on the stand opposite Lizarran by the Consum CC on the open car park side.
Sorry, I didn't get a number as I'd just come from the dentists after having a tooth out and wanted to go home for some TLC.
