Buying canvas type art work

Postby New boy in town » Sun Apr 20, 2014 10:32 am

My wife and I are hoping to complete on a property next week and one of the things we want to get are large canvas type prints, does anyone know where we could go to buy these in the area?

Hi NBIT
I saw some in EL Zico Sunday market. Also try the china Bizarre stores, they have lots, reasonably prices. Or course will depend on your taste and budget.
Saw some very large ones in furniture stores just past Habaneras shopping centre, sorry don't know name of the store. Am sure there will be others on the forum who will know.

They are a personal choice but I must admit I have been very disappointed with most of the canvas style pictures I've seen in our area of Spain including markets, Chinese bazaars and stores. Years ago, in Spain, there used to be traditional style Spanish paintings around and even some originals by the artists who would sit along the beaches or in the pretty towns in Spain, painting them, but nowadays the manufacturers seem to be just catering to the contemporary styles that obviously lots of people want but you can get them anywhere in any country. Call me old fashioned but when in Spain I like to see Spanish Paintings.

BTW Hnos Garcia on the way to Torrevieja, near Carrefour, had some nice Canvas pictures, when I last looked - very modern ones of course!
