Charity Shops

Charity Shops

Postby Sunny B » Wed Feb 19, 2014 1:14 pm

Arriving tomorrow - yippee, so looking forward to seeing the sun!! I hoping while my Mum is out with me we can get a few extra things for the villa just to make it a little more homely. Are there any good second hand shops around we can try? Also I love the charity shops and know of the small one in Quesada but are there any bigger or better ones around that we can have a rummage in? Thanks guys once again for all your help - much appreciated.

Hello Sunny B,
As well as the one by Johnson's in Quesada, there is a small charity shop in aid of Cats facing the car park which is also near there.

Also there is a good charity shop in Pueblo Bravo near to the Budapest Restaurant which is in aid of children with the skin condition Dystrophic epidermolysis bullosa (Butterfly children).
If you are not sure where this is, there's a link to the restaurant here and it shows a map and an interactive street-view where you can 'click' along the road and see the charity shop:

There is also the Horse charity shop facing the car park behind Sams Bar and the two Hungarian Restaurants.

There is also an auction in Quesada by the golf course in the Bull Flanagan Irish Bar that is handy for household bits and bobs - Here's a link to posts about it - Hopefully it's still on - It was when we were there last October but check with the bar or use the phone number or email address on the link to check.

Some of the local towns have charity shops nowadays and if you take any trips around you may often find one. Not sure about Rojales but Los Montesinos has one by the side of the main square too.

There is a second hand furniture store in the Los Arcos road (by the arches in Quesada) and they have often some good bits.

I'm sure others will be able to point you in the direction of some more.

Have a lovely time in the sunshine. Wish we were there!
