Compatible ink cartridges - best places to get?

I know there has been some discussion on the forum before about this but can't track it down..

Recently got a new HP inkjet all in one. It takes HP 304 cartridges. Happy with the printer but am going through cartridges at the rate of knots ( and I don't usually need very high quality print, it's for reading reports/printing off own work to read , mostly b/w. ) Even printing in grayscale is taking a heavy toll...

The local shops selling HP originals at £13/£14 each. Where could I get cheaper compatibles? Any ideas?

Buy a Mono or Colour Laser Printer I use both and the mono one gets through a Tonor cartridge about once per year and it gets used every day printing a lot of reports The cartridge cost is about 12 euros Mono Laser printers range from 45 Euros colour about 60 euros

Thanks everyone for suggestions... Also JPEG suggestion of a mono laser printer a good one. Could keep the inkjet for copying etc ( I initially wanted it primarily as a home photocopier for all those copies of documents I needed for spanish bureaucracy...) but a laser printer might fit my print requirements better...
