Drill - Black & Decker, De Walt etc...

Hi

I'm not living in the area at the moment...completing on a property in early July, and I guess a drill will be a handy thing to have around the home!!!

So - does anyone know of anywhere in the Quesada area I may be able to buy a hammer drill at reasonable cost ("reasonable" compared to the UK equivalent).

Something with a reasonable name, like Black & Decker or De Walt, and with 2 rechargeable lithium-ion batteries.

I've found that Leroy Merlin in do a "bundle" for around 130 Euros, but the equivalent bundle in the UK is around £65.

For a Battery drill you would be better getting one from Screwfix and bringing it over you can't beat the prices.

You're quite right...however I've had a lovely "chat" with a Ryanair person this afternoon, asking about carrying lithium-ion batteries...Here is is...

I am afraid you cannot take it in cabin bag, but in checked in bag it is allowed.

OK. I'm a little confused, and this is why I wanted it clearing up. The Ryanair website shows this: https://www.ryanair.com/gb/en/useful-in ... raft-cabin ...but other airlines and guidelines state different things!

(For info - the Ryanair link says that you CAN carry them in the cabin with you...)

Lithium-ion batteries with a Watt-hour rating of 100 Wh but not exceeding 160 Wh may be carried as spare batteries in carry-on baggage or in equipment in either checked in or carry on baggage. Maximum of one spare battery may be carried in carry-on baggage on FR flights. These batteries must be individually protected to prevent short circuits.
However, drill and drill bits cannot be taken in your cabin bag

So...do I carry them with me, or not?!! I'd be worried that I'd get them taken off me when coming through security!!

Hi put them in the hold no problemo if you wait till last they will not alow you to take your bag on anyway as they say the cabin is full and it must go in the hold!! when you check in you can say I have hand luggage but if you want to put it in the hold you can! they will normaly bite your hand off!
