Flying to the UK

Flying to the UK

Postby angiebabes » Fri Jul 30, 2021 6:57 pm

Can anyone confirm that we have the correct information to fly to the UK on August 19.
We have paperwork from Cabo Roug Health Centre to confirm that we have been double jabbed.

We have made our appointments for Antigen test on Tuesday 17 August, should receive emails with results. Fingers crossed

Do we need only the Day 2 test ? Any recommendations for company to order the test would be greatly appreciated.

Hi , we are travelling back to the uk tomorrow 31/07/21 after a lovely 3 weeks in Quesada. Well worth the hassle to get here and home.
Our going home experience so far : We booked our day 2 PCR test with Randox Health last week £43 with flyryanair discount code applied at check out . - you enter flight details and eta in uk and they organise delivery to your home address in good time for you to take the day 2 test. The really important thing is you get a booking reference that you will need to complete your uk locator form. Without this you cannot complete the form and you WILL NOT BE ALLOWED TO FLY.
We had our Lateral Flow Test done at El Raso Pharmacy yesterday Thursday 29/07/21. They email you within 2 hours the hopefully negative result that you need to upload to your airlines website site. As a belt and braces you might want to print a copy or have a digital copy on you phone. You then need to complete the uk locator form, 4 pages, so allow a bit of time to do this. You will be asked to confirm you have proof of a pre departure test and confirm your booking ref and the name of who you booked with for your day 2 test back home in the uk.
You then have to upload to your airline the 3 documents that will allow you to fly back to the uk:
UK locator form, lateral flow test negative result & UK NHS Proof of Covid Vaccination .
Although I understand from 2nd August the EU proof of vaccination will be acceptable.
If you can print off copies or at least have digital copies of everything on you phone I think the journey will be less stressful. Think that’s it - Hope you have a safe journey home. Hopefully before too long travel will be easier. Cheers Alan.

Just confirming that the paperwork from the health centre is your EU Covid passport.
It states that on the top of the page and has a QR Code.
I know people who were given a sheet of paper with a QR Code when they had their second jab. You can also get a Cert with the details of date jabs were given and batch numbers. Neither of these two forms are acceptable it’s the Covid certificate with the three flags on that’s required.

The certificate with three flags. Is that an English certificate or a Spanish one. I had my jabs here in Spain and there are no flags on the certificate.

Hi junewain

We live in Spain and had our jabs in Spain and asked at our Cabo Roig Health Centre at the reception desk for certificate. It has the 3 flags on it .

There are two types of certificate on the GVA site. One is the Valencian government one which doesn't have the flags on it and isn't valid for travel.
The other is when you request the EU covid certificate which is valid for travel and has the 3 flags on it.
