Hi Bev,
Compared to the UK, new furniture in Spain is expensive but there are quite a lot of furniture shops near us. Someone will be able to tell you the best ones I'm sure, although I seem to remember lots of furniture shops on the outskirts of Almoradi.
There is a 'nearly new' pre-owned furniture shop along the Calle Los Arcos road, by the arches, where Laurel Hardy's & The Mini Golf is. I looked in there recently and because people go back to the UK regularly there is often some very good stuff in there and at very reasonable prices. I would certainly look there first if it were me. It's called 'Muebles 43'.
Also 'Argos' which has some of the same furniture as 'Homebase' now delivers to Spain, so I've heard, that might be worth looking into as well.
Hope this helps.

When I came out in June I went to the electrical shop - along the same road as Laurel & Hardy's - where they are also doing garden furniture - and treated myself to some very comfortable garden seats with footstools. It is also worthwhile popping into the second hand shop along there. I bought a TV table from there - and used the barter system;)

Wish we had known about those type of shops when we first started furnishing our place. We upgraded on the offered free pack & bought the expensive (low quality!) basic furniture from the builders agents but there were so many other bits and pieces needed that we ended up going here there and everywhere looking for them.

I find the Procomobel Home Centre at the top of the Lemon Tree road very good.
Well established Spanish job with staff who speak english and they sell everything from white goods to leather suites and have an excellent garden furniture display.
There is even a small cafe on site.
Ive never been disapointed .

There are quite a few shops on the road from the motorway into Almoradi, starting with Max Descuenta. Procomobel next to Moncoya market. In Torrevieja, Hnos Garcia has 3 shops and they are quite reasonable. Hnos Garcia also has an excellent website with prices and sizes on there. Also the road along by Iceland has a Hnos Garcia, Torregrossa, Mobelone, La Factoria and others which are quite easy to walk to and from. There's also an Anticrisis shop which sells seconds but we got a couple of good sunbeds from there at 20 euros each.
