Hi Jo Jo,
I am a keen seamstress as well and have had problems tracking things down. Haberdashery is easy, there is a brilliant shop in Rojales, only small but always has what you want hidden away somewhere. It is opposite the museum, on the corner of the old road bridge. As far as dress making fabric, the only place that I have found is Almoradi market on Saturdays. Hope this helps.

Thanks for that, I will definitely check them out and if I find any decent fabric, I will let you know.

Yes, thanks for that, Bobbiet ... I have spent the whole of September(Off & On) looking for some orange-coloured ribbon, which is the symbol one can wear during Blood Cancer Awareness Month (which September has been!). BTW, I tried Zara today.
Better late than never, one hopes

It's also been pointed-out to me that there is a haberdashery stall at the Sunday Zoco market ... near the LH end as you go in, I believe.

Made an impromptu stop on way into Torrevieja today to see some classic cars and noticed the shop as per the photo below. Might be useful for haberdashery.
It is on right hand side on way to Torrevieja, where the hire centre, reeves butchers and the Christmas shop is at San Luis. You turn right at the roundabout where Corleone cars is and then immediately right again to get back to shops.

I went to the Zoco market this morning and there is a Spanish lady with limited haberdashery, but not a a lot. She was very helpful and whilst I was trying to explain what I was after, I noticed that the pattern also instructions printed in Spanish....thank you simplicity

I am having the same problem that's why I intend to buy dressmaking fabric online since we moved to quesada, I often buy my fabrics at http://www.calicolaine.co.uk/dressmaking-fabric.html which is an online store. They offer dressmaking fabrics as well as haberdashery and other sewing stuffs.
