Think twice before buying a leather settee.
They're cold to sit on in winter and hot & sticky in summer. We have leather sofas in the UK, but not in Spain.

We inherited an L-shaped sofa when we bought our place and it was fine for a while, but not very comfortable. we decided to go for electric recliners so stared doing a bit of shopping around. We found that Conforama in Zenia Boulevard was half the price of most other places, including the Bed and Sofa warehouse place near Quesada. We ordered what we wanted on one trip and arranged delivery to coincide with our next trip. The quality was great and the delivery service was perfect.

If there's fiber optic available in your area then go for it, its the fastest (and strangely the cheapest at around E25 per month for unlimited 100mbps). Some providers will also throw-in UK TV and a landline which used the fiber optic connection as part of the deal.

If you want your furniture to last get leather as it doesn't get dirty and dusty with the brown dust that blows around. You can put throws on for more comfort. We got ours from Furnitureland near Consum. Expensive but excellent quality.

yes, weve had fabric sofas when we first got married, they last about 3 years and then look like crap. Weve bought leather for 20 years, a good quality leather sofa will last 20+ years, and can be wiped clean with a cloth and soapy water. Ditto, beds, buy a good iron frame bedstead, lasts forever.

Obviously people are going to have different views on what to get. We had the fabric settee and chairs but they didn't last long as the sweat (yep, it gets hot here) ruined them after a while. We have the leather ones which are easier to wipe down and put slip covers over them in the summer. Real leather shouldn't get cold in the winter.

However, I would question Furnitureland. Expensive and, if they aren't in stock, you can wait months for delivery. Plus I bought a very expensive armchair in soft leather (one of their top of the range) and it's split in about eight places despite using leather feed on them.
Conforama is the Spanish equivalent of MFI.

Hnos Garcia (three of them in Torrevieja) have a good range and will deliver for free usually the same or next day. They have an online catalogue if you want to look. Also Conforama by Guardamar. A bit more expensive but also deliver free and quality is excellent. Have a big choice of leather, suede (wouldn't advise for the sweat problem) and fabric.
If you go along the Avda Cortes Valencianas in Torrevieaja (where Iceland is) you will have a load of furniture places to choose from, from cheap but good La Fabrica Muebles up to expensive Torregrossa and all bits in between. Again mainly free delivery. Even an "Anti-Crisis" shop for cheap (mainly seconds) furniture.

Don't know about landline and wifi in Torreta but Orange and Vodafone seem to do good deals which will include a mobile phone as well. Plenty of fibre optic companies around now and they all have shops or stalls in the main shopping centres.

For Freesat the best quality will be a big dish if you have room. One off installation cost and no further payments. There are companies that rebroadcast it but they charge a monthly fee. Big dish (would suggest 1.8m or above for all year round quality) is no monthly payments.

Always fun when you first come over to look around and see what's available. Usually best to just throw open your doors and throw money at anyone who comes knocking (or so it seems).

we bought from Sofa land, its good quality leather unlike a leather chair which we bought in Garcia!!! all the top coat came off, it was sold as leather but it was dreadful quality. Bought a bed there as well, good shop.

We have a freeview big dish from GoSatellite, it has always been good and the follow up care is great.

Movistar provided our internet and telephone plus pay as you go mobiles and they have always been Ok reliable and they do come out quickly...bit expensive but at least they are still here after 13 years plus.

Have a look at Brinas in San Fulgencio, just a couple of hundred metres past Iceland. Normally can deliver the same or next day.

My leather settees have gone at the seams as well even seats which are not regularly used I was told to use super glue but it should not have happened. I had a leather suite for about 15 years and never had to repair it
