Pet trackers

Hello,

I'm looking for pet trackers if anyone knows where I can purchase them? These are the ones that track your dog if say they escaped.

That will not track them ..that will only tell you who is the owner ect when you run a dscanner over the animal ....tho i believe there a tracking apps for phones ect that can be linked to a chip.

Most pet trackers rely on Bluetooth as the communication method. Obviously Bluetooth range I’d very limited, so you won’t know where your pet is unless it’s very close by.
Some trackers (Tile is one) create a user network so that any mobile phone running the Tile app can discover the location of any Tile device and report it back to the main server. This is handy in densely populated areas where there are many users with the Tile app installed and running, but no use at all in other situations.

The only system that really gives the type of coverage that you’re probably expecting is one that uses a mobile SIM card to broadcast its location, in a similar way to Apples ‘find my iPhone’ service.
These have several drawbacks, including the cost of the PAYG/Contract SIM, and the fact that the batteries in these devices need to be recharged frequently (much like a mobile phone).
