Thermal Pool cover - El Zoco market

Thermal Pool cover - El Zoco market

Postby JeremyB » Tue May 06, 2014 7:47 pm

I am looking to purchase a thermal (bubble type) cover for our pool together with a roller and have been told that there is somebody at the El Zoco market who supplies these and is relaible and reasonably priced. We are not over again until end of July but I have relatives going over in a few weeks however they will not have a car to go to the Zoco.

Does anyone have contact details for this person or if anyone is going to the Zoco market in the coming weeks would it be possible to get their details and post them here?

If anyone happens to go to El Zoco tomorrow and sees this person I would very much appreciate if you could find out their contact details, especially email if available.
Thanks.

I do hope someone can get their details for you - We don't go to Zoco market much these days so sorry I can't help you with this.

Jeremy B, I had the company from Zoco Market, Made appointment to come and measure, fine, gave me a quote of 2.500euros , not bad I thought, he then phoned me an hour later to tell me that the quote was wrong and it was actually 7.500, obviously I didnt deal with him, hope you have better luck than me. And i dont have a large pool think its about 10 by 5.

Ouch, that sounds expensive! Am just looking for a simple bubble cover that costs a few hundred Euros. Guess I might end up buying online and cutting to exact size myself. This looks like a possible option http://tienda.telepiscinas.com/mantas-c ... s-privadas

We use a company called Propaqua (Grupo EL NILO) just had a quote for pool 10x6 thermal pool cover and s/steel roller €3200. They are a certified company, will visit, measure and give you a choice of covers. Ask to speak to Daisy, she speaks perfect English.

Thanks for the info but again, ouch with the quote! My wife and I speak fluent Spanish (it is her mother tongue) and have checked out several Spanish websites and for a high quality thermal bubble cover designed to raise the temperature by 8 to 10 deg. C for 10 x 6 pool it should not cost more than Euro 1200 including a stainless steel roller!
Our pool is only small 7 x 3 and am looking at around Euro 500 max for high quality thermal cover and s/s roller.
I was interested in the El Zoco guy as one of our neighbours used him and it seemed simpler than ordering online and fitting myself. However if I am going to be charged a couple of thousand Euros to measure the pool and come and spend an hour or so setting up then I think I will do it myself.
Thanks folks for getting back to me.

We rang Aqua/AguaFlo (on the road to Carrefour) and had bubble cover and roller for just under €1000 for 8x4 pool. But we are going to Zoco tomorrow so will post details from there if we find them so you can compare.

Thanks cookemum, very kind. I have just looked at the AquaFlo website and they offer the Australian Daisy covers which is what I was looking for. On top of which the price that they quoted you seems reasonable. Will definitely consider them when I am am over in the summer.
