Where is the best place to buy TV and HiFi systems?

I've seen Samsung and Sony TVs on the Carrefour website so it would be those companies who'd have to deal with any warranty issues. They seem ok value for Spain and if buying a lot, presumably they'd deliver too? As far as I'm concerned, I'll be getting so many bits and pieces I'd be thrilled to get as much as possible in one store. Of course, if you were only buying a few bits you may prefer to enjoy the experience. Personally, I've never seen the shopping attraction! I enjoy the results but would always prefer on-line shopping where possible. My husband likes this side of me particularly. The difference is I know I've got to do it so I'd sooner just get it done!

Watch out for IVA free days at Media Markt. They only have one or two a year and they really are genuine 21% reductions. For example, Samsung 48 inch LED at 599 euro reduced to 474 euro.
TVs used to be really expensive here but have come down considerably in the last year or so. Another example, the model quoted above is on sale (Bank holiday) in Currys UK for £549 so a big saving here even without the IVA off.
Amazon uk won't deliver big TVs to Spain plus it's a long way to send it back if you have any problems with it.
I haven't had any problems with Carrefour but some people say they have if there is a problem. Seems they tell you to contact the maker and they wash their hands of it.
Also try AlCampo at Zenia Boulevard along with other recommendations. They have quite a good stock but not as extensive as Media Markt.

Thanks everyone. I'll let you know how I get on when I get back home to England after my marathon shopping trip. Mind you, I'm really looking forward to the time when when we're more there than here! Eventually, if I can wean my husband from work, we'll be in beautiful Spain for good. We both love everything about it. Roll on Sunday for the first time in our lovely new home!!!
