There's a wee haberdashery shop in Rojales, just on the left once you go over the Stone Bridge going towards Formentara. They might have what you need. There's another one near the square in Benijofar but they may be mainly a wool shop.

Ask charity shops if they have any, sometimes things come into a charity that you cannot sell and sometimes they keep the buttons. Some Chinese shops also sell different buttons, most sell bog standard ordinary ones but others sell more fancy ones.

There are button stalls on markets at almoradi and the one on guadamar will stock everything you need as it is very big. That is if they are still there as it has been 3months since I visited them.

Agree with Shiva.
The shop on the left between the old bridge and Rojales town centre.
The woman couldn't be more helpful.
We took a friend in who had lost a button off her cardigan and she opened packets and spread contents all over work top in effort to find a matching one, and would have sold her just the one if she'd found one, but my friend decided to buy enough of a different design to replace all of them.

That's the shop and she does alterations too.
Don't think she speaks much/any English, but when I went on this occasion, my Spanish was very minimal - not a lot better now!
Just arm yourself with a few words like 'botones' and she'll try and help - e.g. 'busco botones' or 'quiero alteren mis pantalones' (not correct but a simplified 'I want my trousers altered')
I find if you just try a few words, however daft you may sound, Spanish people are very helpful - it's just when you immediately just start speaking English and expect them to understand that they think you are ignorant
