Hi chelle,

The best ones we've found are in Consum supermarket in Quesada. They cook them on the premises quite a few times a day. We often get them hot, especially when we go in the morning. We have tried Mercadona and a few other places for baguettes but Consum come top of our list!

Here are the details of Consum in Dona Pepa:

Hope this helps.

Maybe a simple suggestion but go for the ones that are not as brown! we found the same but watch which ones we get having said that consum are good and also Mercadona but we always look for the lighter ones, also if you want a bloomer you can't beat Hamiltons Bakery in Benimar for 1euro 80 cents ( They are Huge) if you use a bread saving bag they last for four days if you can resist it that long!!!!

Yummy :)

Yes, I do try to get the lighter ones which are usually a bit softer. Those bloomers sound delicious - I'm a sucker for lovely fresh bread and butter!

Where do you get the bread saving bag? I have recently started to freeze the baguettes and when defrosted they are still pretty good.

They have them at Zoco Market at the seen on TV store and at the shop in the British auction in Formentera, Veg ones are great as well and make a big difference you can re use them but only so many times.

The bread in the garage by the arches entrance to Quesada is very good too.
