Where to buy mosquito screens?

Where to buy mosquito screens?

Postby Paul Stotesbury » Sun May 18, 2014 3:51 pm

Hi. We are thinking of putting up mosquito screens over the windows, front door and patio windows. Wonder if anyone can recommend a reputable company...and whether we should be looking for side to side or pull down. And advice would be welcome. Thanks. Paul.

We used the window company near Spanglish bar opposite Consum for our mosquito screens. We have pull down on our windows and side to side 'concertina' doors on our doors. I couldn't say how they compare price wise but the service was excellent.

We did our own mosquito netting on all the windows and on the door grilles but if we lived there all year round we would probably have them professionally fitted.

One of our resident neighbours who have professionally fitted nets have changed to the netting on the grilles for the main door, as they kept forgetting and almost walked through the side sliding net on the front door and it became a nuisance. I think they have side sliding nets on the balcony and solarium doors, as they tend not to be walked through as often.

Not sure whether it makes much difference to have side or pull down nets on the windows. We don't have patio windows on our style houses so not sure what would be best there.

I know some people use the companies that advertise in the markets but hopefully someone will recommend a company or two on here.

Hi

We purchased our mozzie nets (roller blind system) from the electrical shop on the cross roads in Algorfa. We had 4 widows and door grid at a cost of 250 euro's. Considerable less than quoted by the salesman on the Sunday market.

Many thanks for the advice...appreciated. This is the second time we have been advised to use mosquitoscreenco. Will be contacting them before we come over for the summer.
Cheers again!
