Whetstone

Has anyone bought a whetstone recently and if so where from?

Looking for the best place and price.

Hi Paul been using one for a couple of years,but can’t remember where I bought it, probably one of the Chinese stores. Great for sharpening the kitchen knives. Just make sure to soak it for about 15 mins before use.

I bought one off lemon tree Market many many years ago ,think it was 2 euro

Things have moved on now. Diamond is the way to go. They come in different grades and you don't need water.

Just my personal view but you can't beat a whetstone when I bought a set of Global knives which cost a fortune I was advised to get a diamond sharpener which I did but it was a waste of money so I got a whetstone this was in 2004 and my knives are still as sharp as the day I got them!!
