Damp cotegran wall ??

Damp cotegran wall ??

Postby cookie » Fri May 26, 2017 1:38 pm

Hi all
We are looking for ideas to stop small and large damp patches appearing on our cotegran wall.must add there is no built up garden the other side, the wall is in an area which doesnt get the sun to dry out but its very unsightly...my question would be is there a very good transparent sealer available to seal the wall to make it look better,so it blends in,not patchy.. (knowing cotegrand should breathe)....but we need to disguise this .....thanks for any feedback

could be rising damp then if no garden either side, hard to cure unless you put a damproof membrane in at ground level,is it brick or block or random stone?,you could do it yourself taking a few brick or block out a time layering the membrane replacing the brick or block as you go,time consuming.

Hi

A product made by Xylazel called Impermeabilzante Invisible may help, this is a water like product that seals an makes things waterproof so the rain just beads, it soaks in and is not supposed to alter the finish of whatever you apply it to, can be bought from ferreteria near Consum about 9 euros for 750 Ml or you buy it cheaper at the paint shop in Formentera about 33 euros for 4 litres.
