DO NOT USE totalhometv

For those wanting uk tv, here is a company I can recommend that you DO NOT USE. Keith Campbell trading as Total Home Tv. Having purchased 2 kodi boxes from this man a year ago, they have required updating twice previously and require it yet again! Previously he has charged 20 euros per box to update these, calling him this time he wants 60 euros! When the price was questioned and had a rant and hung up. So I called him from another number to advise him that hanging up is rude, he told me he was not going to be told how much to charge, I said I hadn't, I merely questioned the price, I asked how long it would take to update the box he said 2 hours. I said hang on that's 30 euros an hour, he had another little rant and then hung up again. CLASSIC CASE OF A BRIT RIPPING OFF A BRIT!

I'm not technically minded so I have no idea, all I can say is that I am unable to get a lot of the channels on there that I had been getting, so I call the guy who supplied the boxes and he advised me they need updating.

No expert, but I thought Kodi was stopped from streaming recently anyway. Just get a straight forward IPTV box.

I'm no expert either, but yes kodi is still in operation, just a big upgrade needed.
That's really not the issue, the individual concerned is preying upon the non experts and ripping them off. That's the issue.

If you have a Kodi box check out TV Technology's website. They do IPTV packages using existing Kodi or Android boxes. Their popular TV option is €25 a month but it is stop/start if you dont live here full time or €19-odd a month for full year coverage. Paul from TV Technology is well recommended on this site.

Those using Kodi need to think seriously about their options. Streaming feeds are rapidly diminishing, and more and more of the existing feed suppliers are splashing "use a VPN" warnings. It's not going to be too long before the whole thing collapses (or becomes WAY too specialised) imho.

If the guy has to travel to you I would have thought 30 per hour for a technician is reasonable, after all you are paying for his experience, how long would it take you to do the job? Exactly, that's what you are paying for.

Kodi boxes do require constant updating due to the streams, which are illegal in many countries being closed down by authorities. Usually another stream gets put up to replace the closed one but then the box needs to be updated to receive the new streams. Also, the apps such as Covenant (ex Exodus) get updated and these don't always automatically update in your box and so again, the box needs updating. The authorities are getting stricter on the people streaming the programmes/films as they see it as an infringement of copyright laws.
