Paper counterpart of driving license scrapped-DVLA June 8th

I did a test access of the DVLA site yesterday, as if I were hiring a car, and I got through to the final step in less than a minute. However, I have seen publicity than some car hire companies would want to charge you £10 for less than a minute`s tapping. Nice work if you can get it.
Incidentally, the Spanish don`t have a `paper` part to their driving licences and you can get endorsements just as easily.
