How to protect against getting bitten by mosquitos?

I get relatives to bring mosquito jungle spray with Deet in it out for me when they come over. It's the only thing that works for me. I walk the dogs in the campo early in the morning and wouldn't leave the house without spraying myself with it first.

Wife and I have just recently been attacked by hordes of mosquitoes and I went into Mercadona to get the spray but could not find it.
Could you give the product name and whereabouts in the Mercadona I would find it please.
Thanks

Hi,
I have the bottle in Spain and I'm in the UK now but it's called Deliplus and in the Rojales Mercadona it's in the section with the other insect repellents and the plug-ins etc. Obviously they may move stuff around but the last time I was in there it was at the end of an aisle near the back wall, not far from the shampoo/soaps section.
I found this on-line and there's a picture of the bottle on here:

Hope this helps,
Jan

Hi Folks,
Just checking the situation regarding mossi's around quesada. Read the posts with interest - will look at using plug-in's in the bedrooms and was going to buy citronella candles for outside.
We are coming over in the next couple of weeks will the mossi's be out then or do they arrive later on in the year?
As a retired Aromatherapist that prefers to use natural products where possible I can say that Tea Tree in water in a spray bottle put on after suncream / lotion does keep the little blighters away almost always as long as you make sure you spray uncovered skin. At night when I don't wear suncream I just spray onto the skin before venturing outside.
Occasionally I use Eucalyptus 'globus' the same way. For the ladies who want to wear perfume just wait about ten minutes for the water to evaporate away and then use your perfume.
Hope that helps.
Cheers
Margo

I am always on the menu when mozzies are around. That goes for my family as well. In the house we use plug ins which keep the house clear when we are sleeping. I make sure to cover arms legs and neck with "Autan" I have found this to be very good. I don't usually bother much in the daytime as they don't seem to be too much of a problem on the beach. I do put it on when I go to eat at lunchtime as it keeps the flies off you when you are eating at outside restaurants. Hope this helps.

Definately recommend the orange spray one from Mercadonna, we buy four bottles of it every time we go, as sometimes the shelf is empty.
