The owner of the Marabou next to the sit confirmed that it is to be an apart-hotel and is scheduled to be completed by May. Hope this helps

Thanks for the replies everyone, I would appreciate any pictures to track the progress, if this materialises it could signal the start of positive things in PB!

We back out end of March so it will be interesting to see if any progress has been made. Finishing it by May seems very optimistic but let's hope so. The area could certainly do with an uplift. Empty units etc never look appealing to any visitors or buyers.

Update following my visit to PB last week, the building photo attached shows lots of progress on the apart-hotel, a high level of building activity observed, I'm informed the target completion date is October!

Strange as the La Laguna Hotel is very cose to that building. Hopefully they'll do quality accommodations there as the La Laguna Hotel is not very good for a four stars.

Decent shout Cathie, however I'm guessing they're trying to target the mid hotel v rental market to stimulate the local economy and increase the occupancy of the units opposite? (Just a theory :-))
Let's see what happens,

Hi
We moved in a year ago this month and it's great to see activity in this area around the Budapest and the units occupied would be a great asset to the immediate area.Somewhere with a hive of activity would also help support the bats and whatever businesses come next and a local shop like the gamma would be great.

I’m afraid I do not share the general enthusiasm for this apart-hotel development.

I hope I’m wrong but it has “knocking shop” written all over it L
