I might have something for you.

Just finishing up rebuilding an MX5 for my girlfriend and she is selling her ford Ka to pay for this.

She has a 2002 Ford Ka, aircon (does work switches 3 & 4 highest settings. but not lowest 1 & 2) needs a new switch €40 eBay...Has ITV until June, will pass as just come out of the garage for a once over and car needed a new ECU, which has also been done. Good little runner 1.3 petrol. Have bills for recent works, she'll probably leave the stereo in. Mileage (only 5 digits on clock), about 110,000km's. Body work, no rust, but dents as you'd expect in a 14 year old shopping trolley in Spain. Mechanically sound, interior clean, gearbox, clutch, brakes all ok. Its the type of car you can run for a yer and sell at the same price or thereabouts.

She wants to put it up at about €1600...

I should probably at this point make you aware, of what your expectation levels of cars / values are - they are different in the UK & Spain - my little MX5 project is costing me double what it would in the UK - Spanish tend to hold onto their cars a little longer - so the 'banger economics' you get in the UK, not same here - cars second hand, cost a little more. Some dealer prices for very old cars are quite a distance from what you see in the UK.
