WHAT IS THE POINT IN US RECYCLING OUR WASTE IF THE BINS AREN'T EMPTIED? I TOOK A BAG FULL OF PLASTIC, PRIOR TO CONTINUING FOR A WALK, ONLY TO FIND THE BIN FULL AND 'STUFF' ALL ALONG THE PATH.SINCE IT WAS A BAG FOR LIFE AND I DIDNT WANT TO CART IT ROUND FULL ON MY WALK I JUST PUT IT IN THE GENERAL RUBBISH BIN. COME ON ROJALES, GET YOUR FINGER OUT (BINS IN QUESTION.... OUTSIDE CANALES S/MARKET ON AVDA COSTA AZUL)

Completely agree, those bins have been a nightmare recently and make the area look scruffy and unkempt.

What you should do is to send an e-mail to Jose Ramon at the municipal centre in Quesada.

I do not believe that the council monitor this website for complaints.

Agreed, the recycling bins are a mess.

YOU SHOULD COTACT THE COUNCIL ,I doubt Jan or any one on here can help,

Send the council a WhatsApp - can be in English if you don't speak Spanish - & they will sort it very quickly!

I emailed Ramon and he forwarded it to the environment rep. Tatiana, she replied as follows

Hi, I am Tatiana Cañizares, the Environment Councillour. It is better for you to put the recycling in the yellow bins there are in the streets all around our town. If you need anything more, please tell me. Best regards, Tatiana.

I have replied to her that the bins in the streets are full and not emptied regularly, so will see what she says

I have recently sent two e-mails to Jose Ramon in Quesada about recycling bins being full near where I live. There were two bins full of glass and two bins full of plastic. All four bins were emptied within a couple of days. I should have said last time that you probably will not get a reply so you just have to wait and see if the job gets done.
