The proposed Golf Hotel

I have it on good authority from a friend of a friend who was told officially by the boss at the golf club that there is to be a golf hotel. It will have 80 rooms and will be built on the road that goes up the hill on the same side of the golf course as the new Gas Express petrol station. So within short walking distance of the current shops and restaurants.

mmmm I live below there and there has been work started up there, land clearing ,walls put up etc so maybe it is true???

Thank you Drama Queen,you're the second person to say that is where they plan to build it which is great as it will leave the existing shops.

I thought it would be somewhere like that. Plenty of room without demolition of the shops / bars etc, as was the speculation once.

80 rooms, a sizeable hotel. We´ll see if it happens. I think it could be good news for the area if it does

I dont think there was ever a threat to the existing shops and bar. Quite the opposite. Im told there are plans for another flight of shops and bars,to be built above existing bars. There will be a lift and staircase, rather like the new boulivard in quesada. Al the money spent on a new carpatk, and retiling of the boardwalks certainly wouldnt have be spent if they planned to get rid of the existing shops. Only the laundry has been effected , and thst where the lift is going, so im told.. All very possitive plans for the area. It will be amazing.

I don't understand why they would build more shops when they can't let the ones on the upper level above SupaValu.

Hi Drama Queen.

That sounds like good news for the area. The RHS of that road as you head up the hill is currently just rough brush and a nice hotel should add to the area.
