Chinatown Laguna

Monday evening we ventured out to the Chinatown Laguna (it can be found opposite the Hotel Laguna, Dona Pepa). It had come recommended from quite a few people and I was not disappointed.10.50 (excluding IVA) and you can eat as much as you like. We were in chinese food heaven.
You chose from the menu and the dishes are cooked and bought to the table...none of this food cooked and left broiling under the hot lamps etc.
We had curry parcels, seseme prawn toast and two soups to start with (hot and sour and crabmeat and sweetcorn), followed by duck with pancakes, the plum sauce was divine.
For the mains we had crispy fried chilli beef, chicken in chilli sauce (my favourite, utterly gorgeous), beef in oyster sauce and king prawns szechuan all with a side order of special fried rice.
It sounds like we ate our socks off but the portions are smaller than you would normally get, but thats not a problem as this way you can try lots of different dishes. You are positively encouraged to eat as many items as you want.
We were not rushed and the service was excellent, attentive but not OTT.
Puddings, coffee and drinks are not included and I cannot tell you what the wine was like as we are beer drinkers with our chinese.
I highly recommend this restuarant and am looking forward to going again.....very soon.

We've eaten there every time we've been over in the last few years. We thought it was good value before they introduced the 10 euro charge, so were delighted when it was introduced. We always have a soup, some prawn toast & other little bits, then crispy duck, followed by a main. As you say the portions aren't huge so you can sample a lot more & still able to walk when you've finished. The staff even asked us if we wanted another portion of crispy duck when we were there last summer. Roll on July!

I took these photos in July of the Chinatown Laguna and the board showing the lunchtime menu offer. The evening buffet is 10.50 euro & 7 euro for children.
