Film Club

For info. Some of you may already know about the new film club. My husband & I have become members, the films are showing at the cinema in Torrevieja & are in English, no need to use ear phones. If you need more info please let me know & I will forward it to you. If you want to just go on the mailing list that is fine you don't have to become members. When Spectre (007) was on we only paid €5 each, not bad for a cheap night out, the popcorn was great too.
Regards Benji
Greetings,
Friday's Film is Star Wars 7. Friday December 18th: Sala 4: 18.00hrs Playing every night at 6.00pm. By booking online or going to the Cines IMF window before Friday, you can pre-purchase your tickets for Star Wars, if you wish to do so. The manager expects this to play through until the New Year. For the moment, this is the only VOSE film playing over the festive season. More updates for you at the end of the week.
Thank you,
Keith, Nick and the team
Regards Benji

You can put it on here if it's open to everyone.

Just to clarify. I was concerned about the amount and type of personal information that is expected when filling out the application form. The film club looks like a good idea but I would not give all the information they are asking for, just to be put into the system of a film club membership. I felt security of personal information could be compromised. Why would they need NIE/Passport number and more. Name and address and the fact you have paid the membership fee should be enough I think.
Not saying the club is not a great idea though but they should rethink the application form.

Benji, can you tell me what the benefits of joining the film club are, as I too have concerns around putting al my details on a membership application. Just to let you know that we too enjoyed Spectre at Torrevieja. We joined the queue, which was not too long, and paid €5 to get in.

Hi Jimdon, I don't want to comment on the film club until I hear from them . The administrators work full time and with Christmas coming up I'm sure they are very busy but as soon as I hear from them I will speak to Jan. With regard to the cinema it looks as if Star Wars is going to be on until well into the new year. If you want to book on line info as follows, this saves you queuing up but will cost you 90 cents per person. I tried this, it is very easy you just print the tickets off and treat them like an ordinary ticket:
The link is:
http://cine.entradas.com/entradas/homeCine.do
Type in the name of the Film
ie STAR WARS
choose the V.O.S.E. choice (Original Version Spanish Subtitles)
Click on the link. In this case, the bottom one or third choice.
Select the province, select the town and select the date
CLICK ON THE TIME
now pick the day. You will see you have a choice until and including Thursday.
SALA 4 holds 200 or so people.
Just like booking on Easyjet etc.... pick the seats you want.
However, Monday thru Thursday, when less people are expected, you can only book tickets but not seats, or at least that is the situation at the moment.
click continue and complete the process.
You can also book in advance by calling: 902 48 84 88 BUT, be prepared to be able to speak in Spanish and not all of those answering the phone can speak English.
