U.K. Car hire recommendation.

I'm heading to the u.k. in may .
Can anyone recommend a car hire company , that isn't a rip off , like some of them are here .
I'm only going for 5 days . I have no problem with them holding my credit card details ... but the last time i went , The company took a Thousand Euros off my card , and it took me a considerable time ( and hassle ) to get it returned .

I am heading to the UK tonight until Monday night. Have hired from Hertz €93.67. Renault Captur or similar.
Always use them and never a problem.

I can name three companies here who do not 'rip off'. Coys, Aero Autos and Easy Option.

I totally agree re Enterprise, good service with friendly & helpful staff When I used them at Birmingham Airport last November my card was refunded immediately ie I was still in the airport office when thay did it!

Depending on where you fly to try Green Motion had some really good deals but they try to nail you for extras but we have the yearly hire insurance and just waive that at them.
