Well thanks to this forum, I've had Mark around today to fix my aircon, what a lovely man. Thank you Mark, very much appreciated.

Hi Mark, do you cover Playa Flamenca? I know it's a fair distance from you but the customer would be willing to pay for your time and petrol, he needs both units servicing and we think possibly regassing. Many thanks

As far as I know,Mark has been in hospital and may still be there as we speak. Mark had a problem with his foot and was given medication which had a very bad reaction and he ended up in hospital last week..Like everyone else,I can endorse Mark's work and do not know what I would do with his help when the aircon has a blip! I shall email his wife and ask how he is faring and when I hear from her,I will let you know. If you could hold on for this week,he may be fit and well and ready to get back to work soon.
I am sure you will all join me in wishing him a very speedy recovery.

Sorry to hear Mark is unwell let us know how he is please we recently had comments about a certain doctor! I believe Mark saw that man!!!

How often do you get your air con units serviced? How much does mark charge per unit. I have 3 that i think need doing not been done for 8 years?! Many thanks!!

i have just received an email today from Mark of Selectaire to tell me.............


I was admitted to hospital and only just been discharged. I'm afraid my recovery is going to take some time and the consultant has suggested weeks. I had a bad reaction to medication for my foot and it's damaged my stomach.



Fortunately, i,m not in a hurry, & i found Mark so good that i am prepared to wait. If you read this Mark i hope you recover soon.

Wow, I'm very humbled by all your comments and really appreciate your previous recommendations.
I have been discharged from hospital but at the moment need help with even dressing and walking and been advised to forget about doing anything in September.
To answer earlier questions :-
Servicing is normally €35 per unit and includes removing the interior casing to allow easier access and steam cleaning. Any parts required would be at cost. Timescales vary and I'd tell you beforehand if they needed doing. But again, I can't see me being in a position to do anything for quite a while.

Yes it was the doctor mentioned in other posts but can't speculate on whether he should have known from previous blood tests.

Finally, thankyou all again for making a pretty rubbish day for me better.
