Hi, I hope somebody can help or give me some info, I have a 1.9 m sat disk which I use with my sky box and card but on my last visit I noticed that all my channels are working apart from all stations on the BBC format, have they switched satellites, before I could receive BBC 1 on all all the regions and BBC 2 Wales now nothing, will I need to have work done to my dish ie repositioning or is this a problem that I will have to live with due to the sat beam .
Thanks Paul.
Thanks Paul.

With a 1.9 dish in Quesada you should see no difference at all. BBC switched to a new satellite last week and ITV and the Ch4s switched early this morning.
If your last visit was more than a week ago then it wouldn't have changed.
We are in Dona Pepa and still have all the channels except some of the BBC HD channels although regional HD channels are still fine. BBC3 and 4 HD channels are there but flashing on and off due to low signal. 3 and 4 SD are fine. This is with a 1.4 dish.
Your 1.9 dish should still be picking up all the channels so I would suggest it is a problem with alignment. The new satellite (Astra 2E) has a reduced footprint (narrower beam) so you may have picked up the old satellite even with an alignment problem which is now more apparent with the narrow beam.
Next visit you should get someone to check and it may just need a tweak of the LNB in the middle of the dish but 1.9 is more than sufficient to get the channels in this area.

Yes I would definitely get the alignment checked. We have a 1.4m dish and when we arrived here on Monday I found that our signal strength for all satellite channels is actually much better than before including all BBC channels.

Hi Guys, I have a 1M dish on the hill near the golf club in Quesada. I haven't been over since the satellite switch to Astra 2E. Has anybody with a 1M dish in the area seen a difference? Thanks, Noel

News probably not the best. Suspect you will be struggling with a 1 metre, most with dishes of this size have lost the BBC's - generally (signal does vary considerably in locations) a 1.4 is now the recommended minimum in this location.
