TIE

TIE

Postby angiebabes » Fri Apr 23, 2021 8:45 am

Good morning

We have our green residencia cards from 2018 and are considering flying to the UK in August, if all restrictions are lifted and it is safe.

Do we need to change to TIE cards, heard that Border Control at Alicante Airport have been saying no TIE no Entry, even though residencia card is legal .

Is it a long wait to apply and receive the TIE ?
Thankyou

According to the press people have been turned back with their green A4 residencia cards but I know people who have used them and been fine plus others have used a pardon and prof they've applied for residencies so who knows. I've been today to change over from the A4 green piece of paper for the card and was told 7 weeks. It's the appointments that are or were difficult to get. They come up about twice a week but are grabbed by the handful by people taking groups to get the cards

If I were you I'd get an appointment with a company to take you to get the TIE. If you do that now you should be ok for the Summer. Dont risk it! You'll need one sooner or later, so why wait!
