SUMA

Postby guest2011 » Fri Apr 10, 2026 7:20 pm

Hi,
If I have the Referencia catastral of a property, how can I find the reference value which the SUMA and IBI is calculated from?

The simplest way is just to go and ask at your nearest Suma office. If you have a Spanish bank advice for your direct debit it may also be on there, ours was when we banked with BBVA. Possibly also on the Suma website if you can log in with a Cl@ve or digital certificate, but I haven't checked that one myself. We also have a Notificación de Valor Catastral on file, but not sure when we got it, why, or where from.

Valor Cadastral will be listed on your IBI bill including the year last valued and the council percentage rate.

Multiply your Valor Cadastral by the council rate (think it's 0.7% for Rojales this year).

Direct debit payments will be taken on May 4th but we are in the voluntary payment period at the moment.

I would have said the bill, but I don't recall ever having one! All that information was on the bank receipt though.

If you have someone named as a financial rep, such as a solicitor who does your taxes etc, then they will get the bills.

SUMA will give you a copy but you can also get one from your financial rep.

I'm sure I could get one, but I'm not really bothered. It's barely changed in 25 years so I know what to expect. I assume the OP doesn't have a bill or they wouldn't have asked the question, but they could presumably ask a rep too if they can't get to the Suma office.
