Can’t see it rising again anytime soon.... both € & £ will weaken vs the $ over next 12 months....

I don’t see a free trade agreement, but in the unlikely event it gets come £ will strengthen

There’s more authority in 1foot4wards statement than ANY pie in the sky statement that the Brexit dreamers have ever come up with.

Have a look at where it was before Brexit came along! The markets are telling us that Brexit is not a good idea and that a crash out, no deal Brexit is really not a good idea!

Dave c is right. If he pursues a no deal Brexit to keep his wealthy public school friends in the ERG happy, sterling will fall out of bed.

Every time the damned Brexit word is mentioned, the pound drops against the euro. Funny isnt it, the "B" word has hardly been mentioned recently and the £ rose, admittedly not to the dizzy heights of the pre Brexit vote, but certainly better than any time since. Oh well, Brexit will be forefront again when the MP's return, and doubtless it will fall again...

I cant understand alm these people who have made Spain there home going on about Brexit or the tories. You dont live in England anymore!!! You will still get your pension and health care and no matter how much you complain, you will get both so stop worrying. Yes you may have families living in the uk, yes they can vote etc, but you live here so leave it.
I lived in Australia for 10 years and never once believed the uk should pay for my health care. I had gone at my choice so accepted my new country and their laws and policies.
If it bothers you so much what's going on in the uk, why not move back? You can then join all the protests etc, vote and live with the tories or labour or whoever's is in government.
It's time to accept things are what they are, you cant change them and you live here.

May I point out the very first line of the very first post on this (sadly repetitious) thread which doesn't make it appear as if the OP has made his home in Spain.

I am flying over to Torrevieja next Saturday and checked to see what the exchange rate was like

Marcliff, may I respectfully point out that the OP's comment was how she was pleased that the £ hadn't dropped that much due to the election result. It's subsequent posters who turned the whole post into a Brexit argument and whinge.
