Cheap Eat!! The Green Baize

I went down to a cafe today - in a group of 8 friends - and "pushed the boat out" on a meal costing €3 for one person or €5 for two - and luckily 2 went into 8 - yes we are very "careful". There are other menus to choose from, of course, but there was a choice of about 10 main courses for this price (1 course only!!) The popular ones were liver, bacon, onions, mash etc; fish and chips, and roast beef (€1.50 extra). I had the former - very tasty - and came away not being able to eat another morsel - not even a sweet!!:(

We went to the place called the Green Baize - next door to the Quesada Fish and Chip shop (the same owner for both places) - and you can eat inside or out. For as little as €2.50 each (when there are 2 or you) + the price of a drink it is not even worth cooking at home!:lol:

Yes - I can definitely confirm liver; bacon; onion, mash - oh and there were some peas and carrots for that price (€2.50 as I shared)!!

I didn't notice full details - but WHEN (probably soon!!) I go back I will take my trusty camera with me!!

Will look to see if they have the 6 euro meals next time we are passing. It's always worth trying again as most people say it's good there and all places can have an off-day once in a while!
