Red Days November 2011 to December 2012

Red days are Spanish National holiday & National fiesta dates (similar to UK Bank Holidays)
There are other local Festival holiday dates specifically for the area. They are often referred to as Blue Days. A list of these, when available, can be obtained from the Town Hall in Quesada or Rojales. They can be added to this topic when available.
Supermarkets in the area may be closed on the following 'Red Day' dates:

Hi,
Can anyone confirm if Wednesday 10th October is a Blue day? We have some information to say it is and that some supermarkets in the area will be closed, but not sure if it's correct. Apparently there is a Fiesta in Montesinos at the end of next week.
Thanks,
Jan.

Hi
Tuesday 9th October is Valencia Day, a national holiday in the Valencia region. La Zenia Boulevard is even closed on this day. Not sure about Wednesday though.

Welcome to TalkQuesada Fiesta2. Hope you enjoy the forum.
Thank you for the info. The Fiesta in Montesinos starts on the 10th, so maybe the local holiday is the 10th but the Red day is the 12th. To be on the safe side shopping may be a problem on the 9th to the 12th October. I will try to check Consum supermarket, near us, tomorrow to see what day(s) they are closed, if any.

The mystery deepens!
Welcome to TalkQuesada Altos. Hope you find it helpful........... except where 'some' Spanish holidays dates are concerned.
I'm sure the Town Hall will know for sure, won't they???? Will try to find out tomorrow.
Jan.

You were correct Altos & Fiesta2.
Just checked with Consum supermarket and they are closed Tues 9th & Friday 12th. As Consum is one of the larger supermarkets in Quesada then I would imagine others will be closed too.
Sometimes the 'Gamma Jumerca' small supermarket, near Coopers Bar, defies tradition and stays open on Spanish holidays, so they are worth a try for any urgent shopping.

Hello everyone,
Just a reminder that Thursday November 1st is a Red day, so some Supermarkets may be closed. Not sure if there are any local holiday dates around that date too but if anyone knows please let us know by replying to this post.
Thanks.
